Tonight! Sweet Shop 5!
Sweet Shop returns with its fifth installment. This month we give thanks with two great friends and awesome DJs:
Saturday’s line up includes rave legend Entropy, DC’s own Obeyah and our friend Dev Null
Joining them with opening duties are Mr. McNeill with a departure from his normal sound as a techno and house DJ. He continues to show why he is one of the most sought after newcomers in the Boston dance music scene, winning himself residencies at the W Hotel and talks of some west coast bookings sometime next year. Opening with McNeill is regular upstairs collaborator, Kat Fyte. While he regularly assists us with hip hop and reggae in the lounge, Max heard that Shuttle was playing and insisted on opening. We look forward to his mix of bass, moombahton and dancehall to help get the evening going.
Upstairs, Obeyah returns after his much lauded appearance for us back at Intersection with Tevo Howard. Obeyah, a native of the D.C. Metro area, shares his geographic and musical roots with Shuttle. Hailing from an area known for its deep underground dance music scene, Obeyah brings it with a ferocious blend of break beats littered with peaks and valleys that will keep you on your feet all evening long.
Opening duties to be performed by recent collaborators, NE Tempo bringing their own blend of hip hop and dance music to start your night off right.
It’s all sweet and it’s all 5$, all night long. See you on the floor!
